Give me a hug doggy...

NOW...or I'll smack you! (look at his little deceiving grin...don't be fooled...I caught him in mid-smack!) ROTTEN!
P loves his Klay Klay friend! He has learned how to give out hugs...and guess who gets most of his lovin'? Nope, not mommy. Miss K! I'm assuming he likes her more than me because he can hug her one second and smack her the next...and she doesn't seem to get to ticked off or make him sit in the naughty spot. Mommy, on the other hand, doesn't take it so nicely when I get a big P smooch one second and a nice smack in the face the next. Mommy gets very mad and the naughty spot becomes P's new home.

HELP! We are in a hitting phase! I have read not to hold their arms or hands when you are telling them "no" because it just causes them to become more frustrated. But, seriously, I don't know how else to get him to stop!! It is so frustrating! I think ever since I taught him how to high five, he thinks he can hit everything as hard as he hits my hand for high fives. Any mommy tips?

Aww those pics are so cute! It would be so hard to tell that precious face "no." How do you do it?!?!? HA

And I just read your prior post about people leaving rude comments. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Some people can be so rude!

cute pics!! i haven't gotten to that stage yet but just be consistent! i went to a Bible study tuesday night and her main focus was to be consistent! it's so hard and you feel like your harping at them all the time but be firm and be still in what you say and it will pay off! i wish you the best!

awwww the pics are too cute. I don't know what it is about the hitting phase - I guess they all do it. I usually would tap mine's hand with a finger and get right to their face and tell them "NO, we do not hit, it's not nice"...consistantly. I would not hit them - because hey you're telling them not to hit right? But a tap with the finger lets them know - don't smack with that hand. Not sure if that will help you or not? Just give a few little taps - say no that's not nice we don't do that and of course shake your head in the "NO" position :-) I've gone through 3 of these. Wait until he gets in the spitting stages...my son is doing this...when he gets mad some something he spits (he's 4) I use the same finger tech - I tap his mouth....NO...no spitting. lol riiiigghht. My sis laughs at me because I clap at my kids too...I do the clap at them to get their attention...*clap clap* "NO don't do that" lol
